How we look after your details
Last updated: 30 October 2026
This policy explains what personal details The Learning Desk ("we", "us") collects through thelearningdesk.in, why we collect them, and the choices you have. We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Who we are
The Learning Desk is a registered MSME based in Panchkula, Haryana, India. We offer online coaching for career growth and IELTS. You can reach us at contact@thelearningdesk.in or +91 76969 46817.
What we collect
- Enquiry details: your name, mobile number and email address when you fill in a form on this website.
- Messages: anything you choose to tell us by email, phone or WhatsApp.
- Technical logs: our web host automatically records basic information such as your IP address and browser type, to keep the website secure and working.
- Usage and advertising data: on some pages, including our campaign pages, Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel record how you use the page, such as pages viewed, buttons clicked, whether you sent an enquiry, your approximate location, and your device and browser. See "Cookies and tracking" below.
We do not ask for sensitive details such as financial, health or identity documents through this website.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange a free evaluation or consult.
- To provide coaching if you decide to work with us.
- To keep the website secure.
- To understand which pages and ads are useful, and to improve them.
- To measure our advertising on Facebook and Instagram, and to show our ads to people who have visited our pages.
We use your details only for these purposes, based on the consent you give when you submit a form or contact us. We do not sell or rent your details to anyone, and we will not send you marketing messages unless you ask for them.
Who we share it with
We share your details only with service providers who help us run the website, email and advertising, and only as far as needed:
- our web hosting company, which stores the website and enquiry records;
- Google, through Google Analytics, which gives us reports on how visitors use our pages;
- Meta Platforms, through the Meta Pixel, which helps us measure and target our ads on Facebook and Instagram.
Google and Meta may process this data outside India and use it under their own privacy policies. We do not send them your name, mobile number or email address from our enquiry forms. If you message us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp's own privacy policy also applies. We may disclose details if the law requires it.
Cookies and tracking
Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. Our main pages work without them. On some pages, including our campaign pages, we use:
- Google Analytics, to count visits and see how people move through our pages;
- the Meta Pixel, to see whether our Facebook and Instagram ads lead to enquiries, and to show our ads to people who have visited us.
Both tools use cookies and similar technology, and may recognise your browser across other websites that use them. You can control this in several ways:
- block or delete cookies in your browser settings;
- install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on from Google;
- change your ad settings in your Facebook or Instagram account, under Accounts Centre.
Blocking these cookies does not stop you from using our website or sending an enquiry.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for up to two years after our last contact with you, and then delete them. If you become a client, we keep the records we need for coaching and for legal or tax purposes for as long as the law requires. Google Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months. Data collected by the Meta Pixel is kept by Meta under its own policy.
How we protect it
The website uses a secure (HTTPS) connection. Enquiries are stored in a private location that cannot be opened from the internet, and only people who need them to reply to you can see them.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what details we hold about you and how we use them;
- correct, update or complete your details;
- delete your details, unless we must keep them by law;
- stop using your details by withdrawing your consent;
- name another person to act for you in these matters.
To use any of these rights, email us. We aim to reply within 7 working days.
Children
Our website is meant for adults. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us for you.
Questions and complaints
Our grievance officer is Ashish Singla, reachable at contact@thelearningdesk.in. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
